Photoshoot #2 Feb 2016 - Jenna Kite, Jorgia, Julian
So about 6 months ago, we had a new girl in Nursery for the day, her Grandma dropped her off at Nursery and told me that her mom lives in Sooke. When her mom ( Jenna ) came to pick up her daughter from class my first thought was, " That girl looks super cool, I want to be friends with her. " So from judging looks only, Jenna is obviously pretty dope. But that was my thought, I knew nothing about her. Time passes and at the Ward Christmas Party, I see Jenna, Jorgia, and her husband Mark. So I talked to them and we exchanged some info. After we connected on facebook, we got to talking and she found out I was into photography. Turns out she was wanting to start a little clothing line starting with a simple hashtag #wildchild. She asked if I could do a wild and free style photoshoot for her instagram account etc as well as some shots of her. I was down. So, my Mom came along to help with the kids, and we went to a nice forest path I know to get some shots of Jenna. I was so stoked to start editing them once I got home. Oh the excitment is SO real as a photographer when you load the photos onto your computer and are seeing them for the first time on a big screen, and then you start editing and just magic happens. I just love it so much! Here are her fave shots:
Then we took the two little crazies to the field in this beautiful Provincial Park by the ocean and I basically just followed them around:) It was fun, and so cute!! Jorgia and Julian. Jorgia is almost 2.5 years old, and Julian is almost 2.
The ones of Julian with the stick makes me laugh outloud! I am now writing up this post in 2018, and it's so neat to see that our children don't change too much. Their facial expressions and parts of their personality stays with them. Their essence is the same from birth. Pretty remarkable. Here are some photos of Jenna and Jorgia. The bond between Mother and Daughter is a special one...
This was such a fun shoot, and I am so happy to have captured these images, to have them forever:)
Oh, as I was going through them tonight, I found this one, and I was so confused as to who it was! It looks so creepy! I had to think back for a moment and then realized it's totally Jayna wearing my jacket. But come on, this is horror film stuff right here...
