Brothers...July 29th 2017

I snapped a few photos of Julian and Jesse one morning. I'm excited to say "My boys" I am looking forward to watching their relationship develop and grow. Brothers can share a very special bond! Julian is 4 years old and Jesse is 5 weeks...

July Hilights! 2017

July was an awesome month! I love summer sooo much!! I turned 33 this month! We went on an epic RV trip to Alberta to visit family and friend which will receive it's own post! We went up island to the Comox Valley for Canada Day weekend to spend with Grandma Jane and cousins, we drove up to Mt. Joy, we discovered Cowichan Lake and went there a few times, once with Uncle Josh. It is so amazing and I can't believe I never came here growing up since it's only 1.5 hrs from our house!We tried out Paddle boarding at the Sulz's house with friends, and lastly we went with Andrew's long time friends on their boat to Tree Island in the Comox Valley, it was really pretty! On the way home we stopped in Qualicum to visit Roland and Julia and saw the most beautiful sunset! Jesse continues to be the most exciting thing in our family right now, growing up each day. He is such a good baby!

June 2017 Hilights!!

After having a baby, it is so so nice when people help you out after:) I was very touched when my 1st Counsellor in Young Women's showed up with lasagna, bread, salad, and treats, cards from most of the YW, and gifts!! I was not expecting that at all, it made me tear up. So thoughtful! My friend Sarah Stratton brought me a huge bowl of buns that were amazing! And soup! We had other friends and family there to help as well. Gee, so so so helpful after having a baby. Thank goodness for nice friends right?! My bestfriend came to visit Jesse, and my brother adoring him on his blessing day....

"The Woombie" I bought this with Jayna and she slept in it lots. But gee, it freaks me out every time... Some photos of Jesse in his frist 4-6 weeks of life. My Dad was in Africa when he was born on a photography trip, so the first time he held him he was a few weeks old...

Jesse was blessed by his Daddy at church on June 4th. He was given a very special blessing. The parts I remember was that he would be like unto Nephi bringing peace and humility, and that he would have a special connection with his Mother. Another precious little spirit sent to us to raise in this life to help shape his destiny. Wow, what a responsibility.

On June 29th, Jayna ended her last day of Kindergarten!! She had the BEST teacher for her, Mrs. Barb Bonsdorf, whom we love dearly!! The secretary Jean Hope was so sweet and amazing. And her Principal Jane Penn was so fun and welcoming. These three ladies made our first school experience at Savory Elementary awesome! We love them! We thank the world for amazing teachers everywhere, they make a huge difference!

One night campout at Lake Cowichan! June 2017

Well, Jesse has not slown us down since the get go. He was about 3.5 weeks old and we went camping for a night at Lake Cowichan! It was so beautiful there!! The kids loved it. There was a rope swing, they rode bikes, made some new adult friends at another camp site. Jayna drove off a ditch/small cliff on her bike and had a CRAZY fall, but didn't break a bone. Not sure how she dodged that one! We walked to the lake and the kids dipped in a bit. It was beautiful weather, and Jesse did well. The night was cool. I even set up his pack and play in the tent! But he just slept with me. ( A ritual that is still strong over a year later ) Who knew back then it would start;) It was a nice little adventure out together as a family. Andrew even had his Eminem hair back, don't really miss that;)
