Those in Need

So tonight on American Idol, (one of my favorite shows) was Idol Gives back, which is an amazing charity program. Tons of artists and famous people pretty much travel to different parts in the world where there is a great need and help out, and then share their experience with the world. It's hard for me to watch those videos with those starving kids and so many other things, because I just feel so helpless. And it also makes me think. " how did I get so lucky, when so many are in the worst conditions?" All those children sick and without family. It makes me so so sad. And I just feel grateful for what we have, and for my future children, because they are going to be so loved and taken care of. One day I will sponser a child and make a small difference in one of their lives.

Langley Temple

It's a very exciting time for members all over BC because we have a Temple now in Langley. There is an open house from April 9th to 24th for anyone to go through a tour of the Temple before it is dedicated on May 2nd. This is my first time to experience a Temple being built where I live. When I was about to go home from my mission I got a blessing from my Ward Mission Leader Brother Sheppard. He said to "attend the Temple Dedication if you can and donate to the building of the Temple if you can." I had a plan to live in Alberta after my mission, so I wondered at the time how that would work out. Andrew got into BCIT last Fall which moved us here at the perfect time to be here for the Temple.
So I went on Monday by myself because it's my day off and Andrew was in Calgary selling APX. And I have to say, it was such a special experience for me. The way everything has been put together is really amazing, from the ushers to decortations and snacks, the video they show you before you go on the tour, and the tour itself. I wish everyone could go, it really helps you understand our church so much better and why we have Temples. It made me so grateful to be a member of our Church and I really felt the goodness of God. The inside and outside of the Temple is so incredible and beautiful!! What I was thinking and feeling is hard to put into words, but I just want to say, that I know our Church is true, I am so grateful I know the truth and I hope I can help others to find it.
