Christmas 2016
So, as I am trying to blog again, I just can't leave out the last few years that I was MIA! One day I would love to print out my blog, and even though these posts will be out of order I just can't move on until SOME of them are documented. Hopefully I can do this fairly quickly so I can catch up to real time...like today it's July 9th 2018! hahaha
So this post is a quick one on our Christmas Day 2016.
So back to Christmas Day from what I remember: It was the last year in our blue house. We had finalized an offer on December 14th, and the new owners were to take possession January 16th. So it was a bit of a sad Christmas and a busy one at that. I waited to after Christmas to really start packing. It was pretty crazy because we had Christmas, then Jayna's 5th Birthday, then we packed and moved. So Christmas morning we just spent with us and the kids at our house. They woke up to find their stocking at the foot of their bed, so they opened them up together in Julians room! I was about 4 months pregnant with Jesse here...
Little Julian and his presents from Christmas Day. He got a Captain Jake set with a map, coins, spyglass, sword etc. That was probably his fave present from that Christmas. Now a few years later, pretty much everything is lost or broken now! haha He actually found the map bag the other day and brought it to me and said: " Look Mom! I found my Captain Jake map!" He did get a lot of play out of that present though and carried his sword everywhere for a long time!
Jayna and her happy self with her gifts. I try to make the kids something each Christmas. This year, I madethe kids each a blanket. I sewed on a special heart for Jayna:) If I am ever gone I tell her to wrap herself up in it and I am always with her. She has had to do that a few times since this Christmas. One thing I spent a LOT of time making her this year was a Goldilocks and the Three Bears set out of wool felt! There is another suitcase that is a living room with adorable things in it that is not pictured here. But I got the idea from pinterest when I saw a little mouse in a box. It reminded me of my best friends Sister that I saw would post little things she made from felting. I had NO idea how to do it. And turns out, that little mouse in his box was actually sewn, not wool felted when I looked at it after this project! hahah But it sparked an idea, so I'm grateful for that! I will do a post later and describe in more detail possibly. But I started with Baby bear and then made Mama, then Papa bear, then baby bears stuffie, then goldilocks! It was really cool to me, and I was SO excited to show Jayna!! It took a lot of hours and I'm glad looking back now I made it then, cause I wouldn't have the time now I think! She was almost 5, and didn't love it as much as I thought, but I hope she will more with time and age...Jayna is making her "Puss and Boots" face holding some new stuffies:)
Eating breakfast in her new construction gear!
Later on we went to my Mom and Dad's house for dinner and opening presents there. Sibling love photos. I just love seeing them love each other! This was taken at my Mom's house in the evening in their new jammies:
We all watched " The Polar Express" in 3-D! It was really good, we all loved that.
It was a nice Christmas, always is. I really love this time of year.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
