Expressions of Jayna age: 3 Months 5 days old!
Getting Jayna and I ready for the day! Her expressions are so sweet!
Here's her shocked face from the flash on the camera:
She's making cooing noises in this one:
And she is showing me her superman impression here, lol:
Us girls:
Falling asleep on Nana's shoulder...
My Mom likes to hold Jayna and helping her fall asleep. It was so cute, cause she would close her eyes, then open one eye, then both, then close them again and do that a few times till she was totally asleep. It made for some super sweet pictures! Oh this little girl is soooo loved!!

Milestones and Bath time!
So my little Munchkin is 3 and a half months old! WOW. Time is going by fast and these last 2 weeks I have noticed some big changes in her that are making her a baby baby and no longer tiny newborn. First, she is growing taller and chubbier! I'm not sure how much she weighs, but she is almost 25 inches long and fit 3-6 months clothes before she was 3 months! Last weekend, her Aunty Kathy got her laughing! Like full out laughing! It was sooo exciting to see her do that! Kathy was making a gorilla noise and face and man did she love it! Andrew and I tried it when we got home, but we just couldn't pull if off like Kathy and Jayna didn't laugh, but more gave us an " Uh seriously?" expression. haha. We sure love our daughter she is sooo stinkin cute. She is totally more alert now and aware of what is going on. She is so smiley and talks sooo much! I love it when I hear he make a new noise with her voice. My Mom says she is a "social" baby, that I was like that too. Andrew's mom said she has never heard a baby as young as her makes so many different noises and be so vocal. I love it! Jayna is holding things now, (other than my hair) she likes her new teething toy Nana got her, she can hold it to her mouth and naw on it. We took her to the Chiropractor and her neck is so much better, she is moving it around way better and doesn't cry as much when we give her tummy time! Her neck was tilted in the birth canal, so she came out with some unbalance there. She has been more content to be sitting in her swing, or chair, or on the couch and just chilling. She watches me in the kitchen, or I take her wherever I go and get to do some things around the house. I like this a lot. She is starting to have better naps in the daytime again, which is good! However, the last 3 nights she is waking up about 4 times, before it was twice, around 4am and then 6 or 7. I think she might be going through a growing spurt and needs more milk at night! Lets hope this doesn't last! She loves her baths and is getting sooo kicky, just moving around so much! I love my little girl with all my heart. She truly brings joy to my life. I love her she is becoming more interactive and personal. It's so sweet. I love her at this stage! Here are a bunch of pictures from her bathtime today!
Her smile I love so much!
Look at all her curls!

Cute as a button
Stace spoiled Jayna with some really cute clothes from Baby Gap! I think they have the cutest clothes for kids out of any store. However, I don't even spend 50$ on a dress for myself, let alone for a growing baby! It's kind of pricey, but you can always find some good deals there. Here's Jayna in one of her outfits from Stace...
Thank you so much Stacey!! Soooo nice of you!! Love you!

Trip to Calgary, just Jayna and I !!
Since Jayna's been born I have had a sad spot in my heart because my family in Calgary wasn't here to see her. Andrew was going to be gone 5 days one week and 3 the next along with all my family in Victoria! So, I took this opportunity to check flights to Calgary! I was happy to see some seat sales on the days I wanted to go...so Andrew being the spontaneous husband he is said, "Go for it, book your ticket!" So I did. Departing at 1:35pm Thursday March 22nd, and coming back home 10:00pm Monday March 26th. I was nervous leading up to the flight because I just didn't know how Jayna would be. However the staff was super helpful and she was really good, except she did have some MAJOR spit ups on the way there, and the two biggest ones were right on my shirt for the few seconds I didn't have a receiving blanket there! haha The flight home had like 4 delays but I was really pleased with her and relieved that she did so well, and thank goodness for the short flight! So we got to Calgary and I rented a car and went to my cousin Sue's house. Her two boys MaCayden and Jamieson loved Jayna right away...
Sue and I have always been really close since we were young, feeling like we are pretty much sisters as well as cousins. We were always told how much we look alike growing up and we would randomly have the exact same things (clothes, watches, jackets) eventhough she lived in Alberta and I in BC. Our Moms are sisters 5 years apart and actually share the same birthday! So we are hoping that our girls will be close too! Her daughter Neveah is 9 and a half months, Jayna is almost 3 months. Sue is 29 and I am 27. We always get a kick out of our major height difference and it looks like our girls will be the same way!
They are almost the same height!
Next stop was Alex Kutarna's house! She is my only friend I go visit when I go to Calgary other than all my family, but each time I visit I always make sure I see her! She is one of closest friends, and I treasure that since I don't really have that many close girl friends! And since I got married I don't have any close guy friends now! haha. So like I said, I treasure our friendship. Alex and Joe, Andrew and I met in 8th ward when we all lived in Bowness. We have had a lot of fun times together! I'll save that reminiscing for another post down the road! We had a fun day chilling, stop at Wal-mart and the mall, and out to dinner at East Side Marios with just our babies and us! And she treated me to dinner which was so nice! Her daughter Natalie is 2 and a half and is truly a character. While I was nursing Jayna she saw my bra insert... haha
Natalie automatically put it on her head, then she started dancing around on the couch with it on! hahaha....
She thought she would share the fun and put it on my head next!
She then proceeded to make a really funny pose with her legs which got Alex and I really laughing. It was so random and funny to us!
A little picture of our girls! I love Natalies face here, such a little princess! Thanks Alex for a wonderful day! It's so nice for me now that I am a Mom too and we can talk about Mommy stuff non stop if we want! lol love you Alex!
Next stop was a day at my dear brother Michael's house. I was so excited for him to meet Jayna and I knew he was too! She loved him and he adored her, got lots of time to hold her and she got lots of time to coo back at him!
My neices just loved her and couldn't wait to hold her too. They kept saying over and over "She's so cute!" I thought it was so cute to watch them with her and to hear them say that. She loved all the attention and was a really good girl. Here is her with my neice Emma, 11 years old.
Arianna, 9 years old and Jay...
Antonio age 6 and Jayna
Angelina age 3 with Jayna, they are pretty much the same height if you count Jayna's blanket! hahaha. Too cute!
I love watching my family with Jayna. I'm so excited to finally have a baby too! Karrie, my sister in law is due with their 5th and last baby in a few weeks, so at least one of Mikes kids will be close to one of my kids in age! He has been waiting a while for some cousins on his side for his kids! I hope they will all be good friends in the future!
Baby and MommyLittle Jayna Joy, almost 3 months old.
Next I went to visit Stacey Kearl and her family! Stacey is like my sister and I always call her that, but just so there is no confusion here I had to explain. I have known her since I was 16 and she has been a huge influence for good in my life! Such a good example to me, and someone I could always count on for love and support. She has helped me through some of my hardest times in my life. She is my sister and I love her so much! She was so excited to meet Jayna too, and of course loved her! (Who doesn't?) lol. Stace got Jayna this outfit before she was born, I have been waiting for a while for her to fit it and now I can see she is going to grow out of it pretty quick! Jayna was totally sporting a double chin for most of the pics, here are a few...
Here's the double chin pic... haha!

Her youngest and only girl Aubrey. She is almost 3. I thought it was pretty funny how she was wearing her brother's hat like a bonnet! Creative!
I had such a great time being with my family and friends, I really love them all so much. I am so grateful that I had some time to live in Calgary and see them all often. I miss being so close to them! But that just makes me love my visits. This summer we will be living in Red Deer, so I can go and see everyone in Calgary often, very excited for that!

My Auntie Nee Nee...
So today I drove about an hour and 20 minutes to Yellow Point Lodge to see my Auntie Nee Nee and Uncle Peter. They drove from Alberta to stay there for a relaxing 4 days, it's a yearly tradition for them. There are tons of cabins right on the ocean shore, amazing food and nice lodging.
I know we are moving to Red Deer soon so I would get to see Nee Nee shortly after, since she lives in Carstairs Alberta. However, we all know babies change so fast and so much, and I really wanted her to see Jayna as soon as possible! My Aunties first name is Jeanine, but when all of us nieces and nephews were little we couldn't really say it properly, so we called her Nee Nee instead. It was just one of those names that stuck. Nee Nee is so special to me, ever since I was young. She is such a warm, giving, loving, funny, energetic, goofy, spiritual, generous woman. I really love her! Nee Nee has 6 kids of her own, and 3 girls she adopted, and as long as I can remember she has been a foster parent, until recently. She always always had a house full of kids! She has a lot of grandchildren too that just adore her. I lived with Nee Nee when I was 20, just finished my Hair Schooling and got a job in Calgary. It was a great time in my life. I remember one time when I was about 16, I went to visit Nee Nee for Spring Break. She took me on a shopping spree and totally spoiled me! One of the things she got me were these amazing bright reddy orange plether pants from Le Chateau! They sound hideous, but they were actually pretty rad! They looked killer on me, and the amazing thing was they also fit Auntie Nee Nee! I will never forget that, man I look back now and see how small I was and can't believe she fit into them! haha. Growing up I loved any time I got to spend with my Auntie, I just liked being at her house and running errands with her, or doing whatever. One time when she came to visit us in Victoria we were in the mall, and I hear "Hey Ashley, wanna ride?!" I turn around to see Nee Nee on an electric scooter! I don't know if they still have those, but back then they had them available for some elderly people, and Nee Nee was not an elderly person! haha I was laughing so hard. She rode it for the rest of the time we were in the Mall, even in the food court, she rode up to our table with her tray and scooter! Oh man. I remember when I lived with her, we would be up together a lot of nights when everyone else went to bed watching " The Bounty Hunter" or "CSI" eating treats. lol. I loved that time just me and Auntie. She is famous for mixing up words when explaining something to someone, or asking a question. For example... one time she wanted to know what movies were playing at the Theatre...so she asks her son in law: " Nathan can you check on the computer what movies are playing at the Sunridge Scrotum!" haha what she meant was "Sunridge Spectrum." Never a dull moment with Nee Nee, never a time we don't laugh our heads off! There are a lot of memories, but those few come to my mind right away. We share a special bond, and I have always looked forward to my children knowing her and loving her as much as I do, and I know they will! I have been telling Jayna we are going to meet Auntie Nee Nee, so when today came I was excited! Of course Nee Nee loved Jayna, and Jayna loved her too. She smiled and cooed at her and there were a few times we caught Jayna just staring at her! I can tell she's gonna love her just as much as I do! Here are a couple of pics of them together...
Eventhough Jayna was kind of protesting, we snapped a few anyways! haha
Later on after dinner, Jay fell asleep on me with such a sweet squished face...Mommy and daughter, March 19th, 2012. Jayna is 11 weeks and 4 days old.
