Trip to Courtenay to see Grandma Jane! March 29th, 2016

Back in March, we went up to visit Grandma Jane in Courtenay for a few days. We went to Puntledge River, and the kids played on the old sketchy playground that is so rundown looking! Julian fits right in with his hobo clothing hahaha. And they played on the river with Daddy and Grandma...
Sand in her boots...
How awesome is it to just be a kid? The few times Jayna has mentioned "when I grow up..." I tell her that is great to look forward to, but what is even more important is enjoying her age now! Live in the moment girl, wear those pigtails and run wild and free....it doesn't last forever, although it can feel like it does. One day, you will want to be 4 again playing in the sketchy park;)
One of Julian's classic faces;)
The climbing king! He started climbing just over a year old and has not stopped since. I am curious to see what his future holds in this regard...
Later that night we went to the beach to have a little fire. I am so inlove with these photos, what good memories and moments captured! This is Grandma Jane and little Jayna looking out at the ocean and sun setting. So precious! I just love the first picture, and how she is holding a balloon, it seems to really express to me the stillness of beauty, and the innocence of a child, as well as the love between a grandmother and her grand daughter. It's very special to me.
Julian enjoyed playing in the sand and throwing it. Never ceases to get dirty, but hey that's what kids do best right??
Batter's up!
My sweetheart.
Andrew made a fire on the beach, something we like to do as a family and the kids love it. There is something a bit mesmerizing about a fire crackling...
Julian blowing on the fire to help it light, notice the drool? hehe
Don't let smoke get in your eyes Son! Jayna stoking up the fire later on.
Hanging out on the beach...it was a lovely day:)
Mother and Son.
It is always a nice trip to Courtenay, until next time Grandma Jane! xoxo
