Halloween 2015

Andrew and I aren't that big into Halloween. This year I kind of dressed up...and by that I mean put some freckles on my face and braided my hair, wore plaid, you know. I guess I was a farm girl, or Pippy Longstocking. And that's only cause we went to a church Halloween party for the kids ha. Andrew was Nacho Libre one year cause his brother had the costume handy. (That was kind of embarassing, good thing there was a mask) I think it can be fun, but we just don't put the effort in. But it is cute to document none the less, and I definitely liked Halloween as a kid, especially a teen! Yes, I was one of those kids who went trick or treating until they were 16, and I didn't think much of it back then! We all went. I actually think my kids are too young to go right now, who needs all that candy? Perks of being a parent though on that one;) So a trip down Halloween Memory Lane.... 2013: Jayna's first year Trick or Treating and dressing up. We went to Courtenay with Andrew's Mom, Brother, wife and kids. Jayna was almost 2 then... Jayna was a kitty, and wow was she so cute!
The first door they ever knocked, Jayna walked right into the house!! It was hilarious! She did that more than once that night, oh my funny not shy girl!
Jayna with her cousins Issac and Emma, and walking with Grandma Jane
This is so cute of the girls. They are 4 months apart in age.
2014: Second Year of Halloween we went to Courtenay again, Jayna is almost 3, and Julian was exactly 7 months old. I scored his costume at Costco for $3.97, I actually don't even know what character it is, just a good one to keep him warm lol. Our friend Julia Stussi offered to make Jayna's costume that year, she is an amazing seamstress. Jayna was excited to be Anna from Frozen (like 100,0000 other kids I'm sure) But I think she probably had the most amazing Anna dress out there! I was blown away when Julia showed me the final product! It is so perfect and detailed:
Jayna screamed in excitement when she first saw it! She has gotten so much wear out of this dress, she still wears it often! I snapped some photos of her while it was still light out.
It's funny how she still has the exact same expressions now. We are who we are since birth in some ways. I just love my girl.
Cousins. This year, two more cousins joined the bunch! Ocea and Julian. They are about 6.5 months apart.
2015: This year we wanted to stay in Victoria and Trick or Treat around our new house, since it was our first year living in it during Halloween:) My parents came with us for a few houses, and we also went to my Dad's house and went to some of his neighbors. Jayna wanted to be a Witch this year, and we got her costume for $7 at the Dollar Store, plus used what we already had, score! And Juju's costume was free...repeat of Jayna's first costume! haha He was the cutest kitty, boy style. There was a party put together at the church, so I took the kids while Andrew helped a lady move. He surprised us and showed up at the end just in time for the food:) My friends were actually really confused of who Julian was...they thought it was him, but had to look for a minute to make sure it wasn't a girl that looked like him hahahaha! Here are some pics at the church party: Jayna pinned the mouth on the pumpkin perfectly. Either she is a genius, or she could totally see through the blindfold.
My mom helped me do some of Jay's makeup, and she did Juju's. It was the funnest year for me because we got the most into Halloween with dressing up.
Since I am sooo into photography now, I took some of little Miss in her Witch Costume. I couldn't wait to edit them, and give them more of a "creepy" vibe, I love how they turned out. She looks a lot older than 3, turning 4 in two months!
Happy Halloween....looking forward to next year and seeing how the kids have changed and what they want to dress up as:)
