Alright, so I was reading your blog Kim, yup I was. And I saw your post about The Woombie and how amazing it is! I thought it was interesting, (and really weird looking!) lol. I didn't think Jayna would like it cause she always fights to free her arms whenever I have wrapped her in a blanket, however I have never really tried a true swaddle. I hear all this talk about "swaddling", but I know some babies just aren't on board, and I figured I had one of those babies. I was in one of my favorite baby stores a few weeks ago and saw "The Woombie" and I was like : " Oh that is what Kim uses!" It was kind of more in my mind after that. Jayna usually wakes up every 2.5 hrs or so throughout the night and I'm up with her anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours each time. After a while of this I thought hmmm, maybe I should give swaddling a try and see if that helps her sleep longer, plus I always hear about Moms swaddling their babes and they know it's time for bed and they settle right down. So low and behold I bought " The Woombie". WOW, I am SO glad I did! Jayna has slept in it for 3 nights now and it has been the best three nights for me in since she was born 5.5 weeks ago! The first night she slept for 4.5 hours before waking! The second night 5.5! And last night another 5. Lets keep this up Baby J! And maybe the blood vessels in my eyes will go back to normal! haha. So this post is dedicated to Kim, thank you! And thank you to the Woombie. The first morning Jayna used was in it, she woke up wide eyes and so was smiling so much, it melted my heart and was the best start to my day. I love our baby girl sooo much!!

Ok, I seriously need to get one of these! I swaddle Navy every night really tight and she goes to bed instantly, but once in a while she wiggles free and wakes herself up. I think I need to get one for sure now!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I would try it! There's one without legs too that she might like better if she's already used to being wrapped up.
