Visit to Auntie Nee Nee's.

I am so glad we are in Alberta for this summer of sales! My Aunt Jeanine lives in Carstairs, which is only about 45 minutes from Red Deer, so on May 19th, Jayna and I went out for a day visit! The first time we went there, Nee Nee was so excited to see Jayna and talked really loud and happy and it scared her, she screamed a really high pitched squeal, then cried hard! After that, she got used to Auntie Nee Nee, and she loves her! haha. It was pretty funny actually. Anna, my sister in law got her this adorable outfit before she was born, and I was excited that it fits her now! Nee Nee is so funny. Trying to get Shelby to turn around for a picture haha... creepy!

Sunday at Sylvan Lake, Red Deer Alberta

So since we are living in Red Deer for a few months, we of course had to go check out Sylvan Lake. When we lived in Calgary we heard often of it, and coming from the West Coast where there are gorgeous lakes galore, we never made the trip to Sylvan thinking it wouldn't be that great anyway. Well... we were wrong, it is actually very beautiful there! And...they have the BEST ice cream with so many kinds I have never heard of before! Coconut and chocolate cheesecake, Blast off, and Birthday cake are my favorites! The three of us walked down the main street, relaxed a bit on the grass in the sunshine, and dipped Jayna's toes in the water... Jayna talking and singing... It was a beautiful family day, just the three of us.

Jayna Joy loves her baths, and I love them too. Mostly because she smells so dang good after! I use Burt Bee's shampoo and wash and it smells so good. I like it too because it is 98.9% natural. Night out with the Forin sisters...

So Anna, Andrew's sister lives in Vancouver with her husband Carl. Sally, Andrew's sister lives in Red Deer with her boyfriend Greg. Anna decided to fly down for a weekend visit to see Sally. Bonus for us, we were in Camrose which is close, so we drove down for a day to spend some time with the sisters! I love Anna and Sal a lot and have a lot of fun with them!! Anna is hilarious and kept making comments about Jayna being an inconvenience ( joking of course ) but it got to be a big joke by the end of the night. Andrew and I lived in Vancouver for a few years too and we would hang out with Anna and Carl as much as we could. Anna has only seen Jayna a few times but can quickly see how much a baby changes your life! We wanted to go to Original Joe's for lunch and after we sat down we got kicked out cause there is a "no minor" policy! haha. SO we went to the Pita Pit instead. Everyone had to wait after because I had to nurse Jayna. We went for a walk later and ended up sitting in the Mother's Lounge at the LDS church haha, and so it goes. You can't just up and go as easily anymore! It was a fun day though, even with a new baby! haha, right Anna?! Oh, and Anna was all posh and stylish with her outfit, she stuck out in Red Deer, amidst all the hicks and hunters here. Here's a few pics... Us Forin girls, always laughing at something... Sunday afternoon with Kutarnas and friends

Andrew and I happened to be in Calgary for 5 days the end of April so he could start off his summer of sales on time. The techs for their office couldn't be there till the second week of the summer, so he started off in Calgary with another team. I was all for that so I could spend some time with family and friends. Lucky for us, we got to spend an afternoon and evening with our close friends Alex and Joe and their girls. They already had family plans to go to "The Hamlet" also known as Ghost River. So we met them there and enjoyed some nice sunshine and of course wind (it's southern Alberta). Here's some pics of Jayna and I, none of them really turned out that great, but that's ok! Of course Andrew has to jump in freezing cold glacier water when there is a crowd and he has board shorts with him! Here his all smiles before...
